Livin’ In the Pink
By lmhall | December 11, 2007

We’ve been in the pink lately. Weather buffs, you know what I’m talking about. Winter storms. Ice and fog. We were spared the devastation this time. 12 days without power.

One of our associates was flying from Chicago into Springfield, sitting next to A pilot, (not THE pilot) on the return trip, as they prepared for landing, in thick fog, the pilot commented that they should be seeing the city lights soon….anytime…waiting, waiting. They they are! Boom, the wheels hit the pavement at the same time the lights became visible. Scary but safe landing.
Saturday night, a semi truck cruised through the hood and tore out the phone lines. Again. Sunday and Monday no phone or internets. No Sunday night Post Secret! Sweet James, ATT technician, saved the day Monday, when he de-iced his bucket truck and strung my line. Bless him. Tried to slip him some cash and he’d have none of it. Not even a cup of coffee, and he was on his way.
Love you James!
It’s been interesting in the garden, this time last year cremation urn jewelry was the top seller. This season, it’s garden stones. Who knew?
Worst Christmas Gift Ever: We’ve had customers buy urns to give as a surprise Christmas gift, and although they mean well….. I don’t recommend it.
Not kidding.
Today’s tip for better living: Use your turn signal.
