Someone Left the Cake Out In the Rain
By lmhall | February 25, 2008

2008 is the year of technological upgrades in the Garden. We’re slow to change and trend towards “if it ain’t broke…..”.
The Art Director insisted that we upgrade the (don’t laugh) Sony 1.3 mega pixel camera, so based on Granny’s Consumer Report we went with the slim Sony Cybershot 7.2 mega pixel digital camera.
LOVE IT!
So this weekend, with the sleek Sony in my pocket, I wandered the soggy grounds, did a few calisthenics, assessed the damage, drug a few limbs, and started to ‘tend my land. Can you say STIR CRAZY?
Fast forward to Sunday, I’m looking for the camera, can’t find it, start retracing my steps, and found it.
In the yard.
In the rain.
You can’t have anything nice around here.

I HATE it when that happens.
Actually, I haven’t lost any cameras, but let’s not even talk about all the eyeglasses and prescription glasses I’ve left behind all over the world.

All the better to see you with my dear!
Believe it or not, I’ve snapped a few pix after letting it dry out…and so far so good!

methinks it might be because you secretly just wanted a better camera.
:D
(Says the pro, in deep and dire digital debt. My 5k camera bought in 2006 is worth 1500 today. ouch.)

I used to drop stuff over the side of the houseboat while in the boat dock regularly. So much so that I quit buying Craftsmen tools to use on the boat and went with Buffalo Brand.

[…] We’re celebrating Mr. Green Jean’s birthday with little chocolate donuts. That’s the cake. Ever since the camera incident, he’s been unbearable. Today, as I stepped out on the veranda to take some air and use the lap top, he reminded me “Don’t leave the computer out in the yard!” […]

[…] Oh look, a bike in a bush! Earlier this week, I spotted a green Pea Picker . Then, it disappeared. Plus, I couldn’t get a picture because the camera is toast. But here’s a men’s Roadmaster I saw a couple of weeks ago. […]

[…] Apparently everyone around me. While sorting thru some photos snapped on mother’s camera, and some shots taken in my last season on the JOB in the five years, the brow is always knitted. Always, every picture. […]
